In the fall of each year the Easton Branch has a book and costume jewelry sale as our major fundraiser to support AAUW education programs. Lightly used hardcover and paperback books including historical, popular fiction, humor, cuisine, and children's works are offered as well as videos and costume jewelry. Members assist this effort both by donating items and working at the sale. The public is invited to make donations and to attend the sale.
Our sale this year is on Friday, September 23, from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday, September 24, from 10 am to 3 pm at Christ Church Parish Hall, 111 South Harrison Street, Easton, MD. Donations may be brought to the Church on Thursday, September 22, starting at 9 am.
These fundraising efforts support the Educational Opportunities Fund of AAUW. This Fund encourages educational and learning opportunities that give women a chance for a lifetime of success. Programs include fellowships and grants, the Fellows Alumni Initiative, and the Undergraduate Scholarship Clearinghouse.
